About ENWORKS
Since 2001, ENWORKS has been helping businesses of all sizes and sectors in the North West of England to improve their environmental performance. Our support focuses on making economic and environmental savings by using resources such as energy, water and materials more efficiently, and managing residual waste.
In 2007, Al Gore presented us with the global Energy Efficiency prize at the Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy. The prize fund allowed us to create ENWORKS In a Box – a simple online tool for sharing our best practice with others in the field of sustainable business support.
This site was launched in March 2010. Since then it has been visited by thousands of business advisers, environmental auditors, business support managers, think tanks and senior decision-makers, from the UK and around the world.
